Paine's collection also has correspondence to William Lord regarding the Civil War, Samuel Austin Chapin (brother of Eliza Baylies Wheaton), and Wheaton College President Dr. Samuel V. Cole concerning Wheaton Seminary's War efforts circa 1915.
